Complaints

Burch Phillips & Co. is committed to high quality legal advice and client care. If you are unhappy about any aspect of the service you have received or about the bill, please contact us. We have a procedure in place which details how we handle complaints which is available upon application.

If you are not satisfied with our handling of your complaint you can ask the Legal Ombudsman at Legal Ombudsman, PO Box 6167 Slough SL1 0EH;

Website - www.legalombudsman.org.uk; Tel - 0300 555 0333; E-mail - enquiries@legalombudsman.org.uk  to consider the complaint.

Normally, you will need to bring a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of receiving a final written response from us about your complaint and no more than one year from the date of the act or omission being complained about or no more than one year from the date you should reasonably have known that there was a cause for complaint.

The Legal Ombudsman service considers complaints about the quality of legal services that clients receive. In the unlikely event that you have concerns about a solicitor’s conduct, it may be appropriate for you to contact the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA – Telephone: 0370 606 2555 Website: sra.org.uk – or write to them at The Cube, 199 Wharfside Street, Birmingham B1 1RN).  We do not anticipate any such problems arising and would ask that you notify Stephen Phillips straight away if you have any such concerns.
